Job Description

Small childcare center in Phoenix NY is looking for a full time and part time staff members for our toddler and preschool classrooms. Full time staff members receive PTO, Vacation Time, and can opt in to several benefit options. Weekly full time hours average 40 hours per week and schedule is 8:30am -5:30pm. Part time hours are from 10-2:30 and range from 20-25 hours per week.

• Ensure that children are safe and that their everyday needs are met - this may include diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Engage in positive interaction with children to build confidence and self-esteem.
• Ensure children are kept active, entertained, and engaged in developmental activities.
• Effectively guide children who are struggling to regulate their emotions.
• Oversee daily schedules.

Requirements:

• Previous daycare experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of the stages of childhood development.
• Good communication skills to report on the child’s individual needs/performance/development to superiors or parents.
• Physical ability to keep up with children, and to lift up to 50 pounds.
• First aid training is strongly preferred.
