Tender Hands Daycare is a warm, family-run daycare center located in a home setting, dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants and young children. Our team partners with families to support each child’s growth, curiosity, and joy in learning.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Full-Time Childcare Assistant to join our team. Ideal candidates are caring, dependable, and passionate about supporting children’s daily routines and learning through play.

Key Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers with daily classroom routines, activities, and supervision.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes children’s social–emotional development.
• Assist with meal/snack times, diapering/toileting, and nap routines following health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and sanitize materials in accordance with center procedures.
• Communicate positively with children, staff, and families.
• Uphold licensing regulations and center policies at all times.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in a daycare, school, camp, or similar setting preferred.
• Warm, patient, and reliable; able to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and remain active throughout the shift.
• Preferred: Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Schedule & Employment Type

• Monday through Friday.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $17–$20/hour, based on experience.
