Your day, engineered for uptime

You start your shift by scanning the production floor, confirming that conveyors, ovens, freezers, and packaging lines are ready. You knock out scheduled preventive maintenance, then pivot to a quick-changeover—guiding operators through a clean, efficient switchover that respects sanitation protocols and keeps downtime to a minimum. A sensor drift on a checkweigher? You calibrate scales and tweak automation settings to protect product quality. When a pneumatic cylinder hesitates, you diagnose it, pull the right spares, and get the line humming again—capturing everything in the CMMS so recurring issues become improvement projects, not surprises.

What you’ll handle

• Perform intermediate preventive maintenance and repairs across production assets: conveyors, ovens, freezers, pumps, motors, and integrated packaging systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems with minimal supervision.
• Lead and support equipment changeovers, balancing speed with strict sanitation expectations.
• Calibrate and fine‑tune sensors, scales, and automation to uphold product specifications.
• Document work in the CMMS; flag repeat failures and potential risks before they become downtime.
• Coach and mentor Maintenance Technician I teammates on safe, efficient methods.
• Partner with the parts room to sustain critical spares availability.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Safety, food quality, and compliance

• Champion GMP, HACCP, and SQF practices every time you touch equipment.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, and PPE standards without exception.
• Prevent cross‑contamination: account for every tool, clean and sanitize after use, and ensure clothing never transfers ingredients or allergens.
• Apply knowledge of OSHA requirements and food‑industry regulatory expectations.
• Work with the Business Unit Manager and Quality Technical Manager to spot and resolve quality, food safety, or regulatory issues.
• Help keep the facility audit‑ready for customer and third‑party inspections.

Equipment you’ll dig into

• Advanced troubleshooting: conveyors, ovens, freezers, baggers, wrappers, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and ammonia systems.
• Calibration and diagnostics for packaging and palletizing systems.
• Support utilities, including compressed air and refrigeration.

Collaboration and craft

• Work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with Production and Sanitation to keep lines reliable and ready.
• Assist with customer‑complaint investigations tied to equipment or sanitation.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and tool set.

From emergency fixes to predictive care on “your” line, you safeguard performance and food safety—while staying flexible for other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
