Our client is looking to add talent to their team to help with their growing needs. The position of Field Service Engineer travels to customer locations domestically and globally, to execute professional service work including technical support, machine installations, repairs, calibrations, preventive maintenance, upgrades, teaching and consultative work.

The ideal Field Service Engineer will have the following expertiseet/practice:

»AS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, significant practice will be considered

» 5+ years working with Hydraulics, Pneumatics, PLC’s, Windows

»Automation / 6-axis Robotics practice a plus

» 75% national and international travel, onsite at customer, 25% factory located support

»Position requires high level of independent critical thinking and problem solving.

» capability to deliver presentations in front of technical or commercial customer staffing.

»Must possess very good organizational expertise with the capability to multi-task

The Field Service Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

»Perform as a technical resource to assigned tasks in the Field Service department.

»Respond to phone calls, emails and other forms of communication in the effort to address customer’s technical issues.

»Able to demonstrate professional image and take ownership of issues assigned.

»Act as a principle liaison between the customer and the factory for all service matters.

»Possess excellent troubleshooting expertise and capability to identify alternative solutions when faced with obstacles.

»Perform remote diagnostics through TeamViewer or other remote connectivity platforms.

»Travel to customer sites and be “hands on” as required resolving technical matters in the field.

»Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, hydraulic, and pneumatic engineering principals with the capability to interpret schematics.
