Liquid Penetrant Inspector – Level II
Full-Time | Manufacturing Environment

A client of ours is seeking a Liquid Penetrant Inspector to perform non-destructive testing on cast metal components. This role is responsible for processing parts through penetrant inspection, evaluating indications under black light, and making quality decisions based on customer and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Process castings through penetrant, rinse, and drying stages
• Inspect aluminum and magnesium castings under UV/black light for defects
• Evaluate indications such as cracks, porosity, and surface discontinuities
• Make accept/reject decisions according to specifications
• Complete non-conformance documentation for rejected parts
• Use hand tools to blend or remove minor defects when permitted
• Track production activity and maintain accurate inspection records
• Support training of junior inspectors as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications

• Prior Liquid Penetrant Level I or Level II certification required
• Transferable Level II certification preferred
• Experience in foundry, casting, aerospace, or manufacturing inspection environments preferred
• Ability to read work instructions, specifications, and quality documents
• Basic math, communication, and time management skills
• Must pass vision and qualification testing
• High school diploma or equivalent required
