About the Family

We are a warm, professional family of five located in Ann Arbor, with three children: a newborn (transitioning to full-time care at approximately 4 months), a 3-year-old, and a 6-year-old. Our home is pet-friendly, scent-free, and rooted in attachment-based parenting.

We value consistency, reliability, and proactive communication. Our children are neurodivergent, curious, and thrive in a structured yet flexible environment. We always respond to cries and avoid punishment-based or “cry-it-out” techniques, prioritizing emotional attunement and connection.

We are seeking a long-term nanny who can become a steady, trusted presence in our children's lives and confidently support their emotional, developmental, and day-to-day needs.

Who You Are / What We Are Looking For

  • Warm, Emotionally Attuned, and Responsive: You are grounded, patient, and confident navigating big feelings. You approach caregiving with empathy, connection, and respect.
  • Experienced with Infants and Young Children: You have strong hands-on experience with newborns and toddlers and understand developmental stages and transitions.
  • Structured Yet Playful: You bring consistency and routine while keeping things light and engaging. You enjoy planning sensory-friendly, age-appropriate activities and creative daily rhythms.
  • Neurodivergence-Affirming: You are familiar with, or open to learning about, neurodivergent-informed caregiving and attachment-based parenting philosophies.
  • Proactive and Organized: You manage the children's day thoughtfully, anticipate needs, and maintain tidy shared spaces without being asked.
  • Calm Under Pressure: You remain emotionally regulated and confident during tantrums, transitions, and high-energy moments.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare & Development:

  • Provide full-time care for infant (transitioning from newborn to approximately 4 months at start of care)
  • Provide full-day care for infant and 3-year-old on Fridays
  • Provide after-school care for all three children from 2:45 PM–5:00 PM daily
  • Pick up 6-year-old from school or camp; assist with occasional daycare drop-off/pick-up for 3-year-old
  • Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate, and sensory-friendly activities
  • Maintain flexible yet predictable routines
  • Support emotional regulation and confidently navigate tantrums and high-energy moments
  • Supervise swimming and ensure water safety

Daily Household Support (Child-Focused):

  • Wash dishes and clean kitchen after children's meals and snacks
  • Change diaper pails and maintain nursery organization
  • Vacuum or sweep high-traffic child areas as needed
  • Clean up after activities and reset play spaces daily
  • Support children's laundry and restock diapers, wipes, and supplies

Family Support:
