Sunset Lake Cannabis is on a mission to provide Vermonters with sustainably harvested, sun-grown cannabis. Our farm focuses on cultivating premium cannabis flower and crafting high-quality products while preserving the land and enriching our communities.

This seasonal position is a great way to gain experience in the rapidly evolving cannabis industry. As a Cannabis Harvester, you will assist in our fall 2026 Harvest Season. You’ll learn the ins and outs of processing cannabis at different stages, and gain hands-on experience doing so.

Position Description:

Cannabis Harvesters will work in small teams to help with our 2026 Harvest Season. Cannabis Harvesters are crucial members of our team that help transform plants in the field into a variety of handcrafted cannabis products.

Some tasks you will assist with are:

• Cutting and hanging plants from our farm!
• Separating buds from leaves and stems!
• Sorting and processing THC buds to ensure high quality standards and prevent contamination!
• Hand-trimming!

From August 17, 2026 to December 18, 2026, Cannabis Harvesters will work at our farm assisting with the harvest and processing of our crop of sungrown cannabis. Our hand-harvest method involves working outdoors for 8-10 hr days in a group of 5-8 coworkers.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced team environment. Must be able to maintain positive professional relationships with a diverse group of co-workers. Hands-on experience in food service, catering, construction, or landscaping is valued.
• Excellent time management and communication skills, with experience meeting deadlines and goals.
• Ability to learn from feedback & maintain a flexible outlook. The cannabis industry is constantly evolving.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in farm and warehouse work.
• As required by the Vermont Cannabis Control Board, employees must complete a state and federal background check and have a valid state-issued ID. You do not need to have a clean record to work in this position, and individuals who have non-violent charges as a result of Cannabis/Drug prohibition are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Must be over 21 years of age.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with manual labor, including but not limited to farming, gardening, cannabis, or hemp cultivation.
• Ability to do repetitive tasks for long periods of time without losing focus or productivity.
• Previous hand-trimming or production experience processing THC or CBD.

Schedule:

• Harvest Prep - Mid-August to Mid-September: 16-32 hrs/week, exact days to be determined in early August
• Harvest - Mid-September to Late October: 40-50 hrs/week, Monday - Friday, 7am-5pm
• Post Harvest Prep - Early November to Mid-December: 32-40 hrs/week, Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
• Schedule is subject to change based on weather, and will be communicated at least 1 day in advance

Compensation: $22/hr, Employee Discount & Product Samples
