Salary: $132,400 - 251,600 per year Requirements:

• We require a STEM degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related discipline with at least 7 years of experience.
• We require an active, transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance before the start date, with the ability to obtain Top Secret afterward.
• We require U.S. citizenship because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• We need leadership and mentoring experience with systems engineering teams.
• We require proven experience with RF equipment and applications, including link budget analysis, co-site analysis, government and commercial data waveforms, and user/mission system integration.
• We require prior experience with VLF, LF, HF, V/UHF, and Milsatcom.
• We require embedded development experience, including interface definition, requirements, and use case development.
• We require experience in system architecture development and in systems, software, and hardware engineering.
• We require experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools, including advanced SysML modeling for activities, states, block diagrams, and use cases.
• We require experience preparing proposals and serving as a subject matter expert in non-advocate, internal, and customer reviews.
• We prefer experience with aircraft-level system integration, including integration and test planning, test cases, procedures, and product/system-level testing with automation tools or scripting.
• We prefer experience with MBSE tools such as MagicDraw Cameo, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect.
• We prefer familiarity with regulatory and certification standards such as TSO, DO-160, DO-254, DO-178B/C, and ARP 4754.
• We prefer experience in an Agile environment working closely with software, integration, and verification teams.
• We prefer experience with virtualization technologies.
• We prefer knowledge of MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC 661, and bus protocols.
• We prefer experience developing TCP/IP network applications.
• We prefer prior work on an NC3 program.

• We lead technical proposal development and act as a subject matter expert in non-advocate, internal, and customer reviews.
• We identify technical risks, manage them, and execute mitigation plans.
• We recommend improvements in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, and other assets to strengthen project quality.
• We participate in and lead bids and proposals.
• We apply SysML concepts to system modeling across the full engineering lifecycle.
• We serve as design authority for our Integrated Strategic Solutions Engineering NC3 systems.
• We contribute as a subject matter expert to the architecture and design of a complex communications-based system of systems.
• We lead the development and communication of roadmaps for ISSE projects, technologies, and product lines.
• We advise engineering, program, business development, product line, and architecture leaders.
• We build trusted relationships with customers and suppliers.
• We act as the primary technology and systems engineering focal point for leadership and customers on ISSE mission equipment packages and solutions.
• We coordinate across strategic business units to align portfolio roadmaps.
• We monitor cost and schedule and report project status to program management and engineering leadership.
• We communicate effectively with all levels of management, program team members, and external stakeholders.

We are Collins Aerospace, and our Mission Systems team supports civilian, military, and government customers with intelligent and secure communications, missionized systems for specialized aircraft and spacecraft, and collaborative space solutions. This onsite role is based in Richardson, Texas, with an additional location option in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The position supports modernization of U.S. Air Force Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications capabilities, and we may ask candidates to complete certain interview steps in person at one of our office locations.
