This is an on-site role based in Winsted, Minnesota, working directly within a manufacturing environment that values continuous improvement, practical engineering solutions, and technical leadership. Job Description
The Structural Engineer will support new and existing product designs by ensuring structural integrity, manufacturability, and alignment with production capabilities. This role blends traditional structural engineering with manufacturing process optimization and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Participate in Kaizen and other continuous improvement events
  • Serve as a technical contributor to long-term planning and strategic initiatives
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience applying structural engineering principles
  • Strong understanding of static loads, wind loads, and structural behavior
  • Experience performing both ASD and LRFD structural design

Preferred
  • Experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D solid modeling software
  • Prior experience supporting transportation, infrastructure, utility, or heavy manufacturing products
  • Demonstrated experience improving manufacturing processes or contributing to lean/continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining a strong sense of urgency
  • Proven project management skills, including prioritization and deadline management

We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support our employees’ health, financial security, and work-life balance. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance with two medical plan options and company HSA contributions, along with Health and Flexible Spending Accounts (HSA/FSA) for medical and dependent care expenses.
