NOW HIRING - Contract Patent Attorney / Patent Agent Pittsburgh, PA Hybrid

We're partnering with a national law firm's Pittsburgh office in their search for a skilled Contract Patent Attorney or Patent Agent . This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong IP professional with 2-5 years of patent prosecution experience who wants to work with a highly respected team handling cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications
- 2-5 years of patent prosecution experience - JD from an accredited law school (if applying as Attorney) - Strong technical background - BS/MS in engineering or computer science preferred - USPTO registration preferred (Patent Bar eligible also accepted) - Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills - Familiarity with intellectual property law and patent litigation procedures - Litigation experience is a plus, but not required

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, and file patent applications - Conduct research and provide strategic guidance on a variety of patent and IP-related issues - Perform patentability and freedom-to-operate searches and analyses - Review, analyze, and interpret patent documents, scientific materials, and technical disclosures - Draft responses to Office Actions - Support attorneys with technical insights related to prosecution, counseling, and litigation, including preparation for depositions

Salary commensurate with candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
